Postcards from the Night

"Postcards from the Night" explores the poetry of life in darkness and light. Inspired by André Kertész's intimately-sized prints, Fan Ho's cinematic compositions, and Edward Hopper's observational stance, fleeting nighttime scenes around the world are captured. Each small, black-and-white print draws the viewer in close while revealing the quiet drama of human activities, focusing attention in the glow of light while extraneous details are shrouded in shadows.
